Adam Ebbin was appointed to NVTC by the Virginia Senate in 2016. Previously he served as a NVTC Commissioner while he was a Delegate from 2004-2011. Senator Ebbin currently serves on the NVTC Legislative and Policy Committee and the NVTC Executive Committee.

Senator Ebbin took office in the Virginia Senate in January 2012 after serving for eight years in the House of Delegates. He represents 200,000 residents of the 30th Senate District in Arlington, Alexandria and parts of Fairfax County’s Mount Vernon and Lee Magisterial Districts. In the General Assembly, Senator Ebbin serves on four committees: Commerce and Labor; Finance and Appropriations; General Laws and Technology; and Privileges and Elections. He is also a member of the Northern Virginia Transportation Authority (NVTA) and a steering-committee member of American State Legislators for Gun Violence Prevention.

Senator Ebbin’s leadership skills were previously recognized by Governor Mark Warner, who in 2002 appointed Adam to serve as Chief Deputy Commissioner of the Department of Labor and Industry. Senator Ebbin is a graduate of American University in Washington, DC. He was a Fellow with the Flemming Foundation for Legislative Leadership in 2006 and at the University of Virginia’s Sorensen Institute of Political Leadership in 2000. In 2012, He was also a Fellow at Harvard University’s Kennedy School program for Senior Executives in State and Local Government.
