
Rachna Sizemore Heizer
Rachna Sizemore Heizer joined NVTC in January 2026 representing Fairfax County. She is also serving as a principal member of the VRE Operations Board.
Rachna Sizemore Heizer serves as the Braddock District Supervisor on the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors. She previously served nearly six years on the Fairfax County School Board, including as chair, vice chair, and Budget Committee chair, first as an at-large member and later representing the Braddock District.
Prior to entering public service, Rachna was the CEO of a small business providing EEOC compliance, business development, and business process consulting, and a college professor, including five years on the faculty at George Mason University. She is a lawyer who earned both her Bachelor of Arts degree and Juris Doctor from the University of California, Berkeley, and previously practiced corporate law and employment law, including large-scale mergers and acquisitions.
In public office, Rachna has overseen major budgets, strategic planning initiatives, and accountability frameworks, and has guided complex organizations through periods of fiscal and policy transition. She has also served on the Virginia State Social Services Board and the Fairfax–Falls Church Community Services Board.
Rachna is a national speaker on neurodiversity inclusion in education and the workplace, and on strengths-based education, and brings a collaborative, data-driven approach to regional decision-making focused on access, opportunity, and long-term infrastructure and workforce sustainability.
