The Northern Virginia Transportation Commission (NVTC) is requesting proposals from qualified firms to provide on a cost plus fixed fee basis, all technical consulting services necessary to annually update National Transit Database (NTD) sampling plans, complete data collection, and prepare reports on behalf of up to seven NVTC member jurisdiction transit systems.

RFP 24-05 Consultant Services for Envision Route 7 Phase 4-2 Mobility Analysis Study (December 17, 2024 )
Proposals due: January 31, 2025 5:00 p.m.

The Northern Virginia Transportation Commission (NVTC) is requesting proposals from qualified firms to provide consulting services for NVTC’s Envision Route 7 Phase 4-2 Mobility Analysis Study, which will further planning towards eventual construction of a high-frequency, high-capacity bus rapid transit service that includes enhanced bus stops and boarding islands.

The study will:
• Examine the project corridor from Seven Corners in Fairfax County to the Mark Center in Alexandria, completing the entire corridor’s mobility analysis
• Identify trends and examine issues related to traffic congestion
• Conduct extensive community conversations around BRT
• Analyze roadway options in the City of Falls Church
• Identify Alexandria BRT southern terminus (Southern Towers vs. Mark Center).

RFP 24-03 Creative Services (November 8, 2024 )
Proposals due: January 3, 2025 12:00 p.m.

The Northern Virginia Transportation Commission (NVTC) is requesting proposals from qualified and experienced firms to provide creative services to NVTC to supplement in-house production and to produce visually compelling digital and printed reports, display materials, branded items, advertising assets, and print and delivery support for reports developed in-house.

At the direction of NVTC, the primary duty of the selected firm shall be to provide design concepts for all materials; work with NVTC staff to refine final designs; and to execute printing, production and digital and physical delivery of assets, while providing written estimates for each proposed project.
