Northern Virginia Joint Transportation Meeting

This is a joint public meeting held by the Commonwealth Transportation Board (Virginia Department of Transportation and Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation), Northern Virginia Transportation Authority (NVTA), Northern Virginia Transportation Commission (NVTC), Virginia Railway Express (VRE), and National Capital Region Transportation Planning Board (TPB). According to Virginia Code, these organizations shall conduct a joint public meeting annually for the purposes of presenting to the public, and receiving public comments on, the transportation projects proposed and conducted by each entity in Planning District 8 (Northern Virginia).

The meeting will start at 6:30 p.m. with an open house where attendees can talk with representatives from each agency. A listening session with a panel of appointed officials from various agencies will begin at 7:15 p.m. and will be streamed online; information on viewing the live stream will be posted at https://www.vdot.virginia.gov/novatransportationmeeting. The panel will receive public comments about Virginia’s transportation network.
