Mark Sickles was appointed to serve on NVTC by the Virginia Speaker of the House in April 2024.

Now serving in his 20th year in Virginia’s House of Delegates, Delegate Mark Sickles representing the 17th House District which encompasses Kingstowne, Franconia, Huntington and Lorton. He continues to focus on affordable health care coverage for all, expanded voting access, sensible gun safety measures, equality for all people, and transportation solutions for Northern Virginia. As the chair of the Health and Human Services Committee, as chair of the Appropriations Subcommittee on Health and Human Resources, and as a budget conferee,

Delegate Sickles is working with a great team to expand access and reliability of Virginia’s mental health, substance abuse and disability services. He has worked to pass Medicaid Expansion and secure historic teacher pay raises and secured funding for the National Museum of the U.S. Army, Gunston Hall, GMU’s School of Conflict Analysis and Resolution, Mason Neck State Park. His advocacy has improved services for Virginians with intellectual and developmental disabilities, Virginia’s hospitals and long-term care facilities, and resources to combat COVID-19.
