Daniel G. Storck was appointed to NVTC in January 2020 and serves as principal member on the VRE Operations Board.
Mr. Storck joined the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors representing the Mount Vernon District in January 2016. Mr. Storck led the Fairfax Green Initiatives and many other environmental efforts; Richmond Highway widening and BRT developments; Potomac Banks-Explore Fairfax South branding tourism development; Original Mount Vernon High School community hub development; Mount Vernon Rec Center redevelopment; the new Lorton Fire Station; the new Lorton Community Center, Library and Park hub; the new Lorton Police Station and South County Animal Shelter.
Mr. Storck currently chairs the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors’ Environmental and Audit Committees, vice-chairs the Economic Advisory Commission and Economic Initiatives Committee; serves on the Alexandria, District of Columbia, Fort Belvoir and Prince William interjurisdictional committees; and the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments (COG) Chesapeake Bay and Water Resources Policy Committee and Air Quality Committee, and Virginia Association of Counties (VACo) Board of Directors.
In his professional life, Mr. Storck has developed and owned several health care and benefits firms. He holds an M.B.A. in management and a B.S. in finance from Miami University (Ohio).
