DESCRIPTION:We’re working to make buses faster and more reliable on Route 7! The corridor is home to the highest-ridership bus route in Northern Virginia and we want to make service even better. We are building on previous research conducted by NVTC and Fairfax County to study bus priority and BRT between Seven Corners and Mark Center/Southern Towers in Alexandria. \nJoin us at an open house for more information. \n  \nMore than two Commissioners may attend\, however\, this is not a NVTC business meeting and no actions will be transacted.

SUMMARY:Northern Virginia Joint Transportation Meeting
DESCRIPTION:This is a joint public meeting held by the Commonwealth Transportation Board (Virginia Department of Transportation and Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation)\, Northern Virginia Transportation Authority (NVTA)\, Northern Virginia Transportation Commission (NVTC)\, Virginia Railway Express (VRE)\, and National Capital Region Transportation Planning Board (TPB). According to Virginia Code\, these organizations shall conduct a joint public meeting annually for the purposes of presenting to the public\, and receiving public comments on\, the transportation projects proposed and conducted by each entity in Planning District 8 (Northern Virginia). \nThe meeting will start at 6:30 p.m. with an open house where attendees can talk with representatives from each agency. A listening session with a panel of appointed officials from various agencies will begin at 7:15 p.m. and will be streamed online; information on viewing the live stream will be posted at https://www.vdot.virginia.gov/novatransportationmeeting. The panel will receive public comments about Virginia’s transportation network. \nGive your comments during the joint meeting or submit your written comments by November 3\, 2025\, by mail to Ms. Regina Moore\, Virginia Department of Transportation\, 4975 Alliance Drive\, Fairfax\, VA 22030 or email meetingcomments@VDOT.virginia.gov.
